Bringing Accountability with RACI

Wednesday, March 29, 2023 -
5:30pm to 7:00pm

This month the IIBA Puerto Rico Chapter will be joining Raleigh Chapter meeting!

Presentation Abstract :
Accountability and good communication is gold.  When you have more than one person in a meeting,
you may have more than one understanding as to the meeting’s outcome.
Using the RACI Technique provides visibility, accountability and a record of what was agreed to and how it will be delivered.
Thea has worked with RACI for over a decade and found ways to make the most complicated conversations simple,
bring easy accountability, and keep everyone on the “same page”.
Join for a fun hour of value, to make your techniques tool belt even more valuable!

Speaker Bio:
I have been a successful Project Manager, Product Owner, Agile Coach, Business Analyst and more for 30 years.
The WHY has always been the focus.  Why do plants grow the way they do?  Why do we wash clothes the way we do?
Why does traffic get routed the way it does? And the communication - how to get everyone working in the same direction.. herding cats sometimes .
I solve problems by telling compelling stories, creating relationships,  tracking details, and keeping all included, informed and engaged.
I have worked in a variety of industries, including Nuclear, Medical Diagnostics, Retail, Tax, Insurance, Telecommunication, and many more,
with the goal of deeply understanding the processes, best practices and lackings, and I then bring this knowledge to my next positions.
My current position with Republic Services is focused on creating golden records and facilitating analysis for the nationwide customers

In my volunteer activities, I organized the Kansas City Chapter of the International Game Developers Association, contributed three sections to the International Institute of Business Analysis’s Book of Knowledge, version 3.0, and will be a Managing Author for version 4.0, and a few other things….
I have been an IIBA Chapter Board Member for over 10 years, most often as the VP of Professional Development.  Currently I am with the Tampa Bay Chapter and teaching the 60th+ study group to an international audience and acting as a mentor and consultant.
